Make Music Day Denver
Make Music Denver is a festival designed to showcase local musical talent and inspire others to play music. Performers of all ages, races, levels, and styles of music are welcome. This year, Make Music Denver is headed to Denver Union Station on December 21st to host a series of free performances inside the Great Hall, from 3-6pm.
About Make Music Day
Originally started in France in 1982, Make Music Day is a celebration of music around the world, now held on the same day in more than 1,000 cities in 120 countries. Completely different from a typical music festival, Make Music is open to anyone who wants to take part. Every kind of musician — young and old, amateur and professional, of every musical persuasion — pours onto streets, parks, plazas, and porches to share their music with friends, neighbors, and strangers.
All of it is free and open to the public.
Mission
Connect all Denver community members, regardless of age, race, musical experience, or ability, to make and enjoy music together every June 21, while also encouraging further participation in music-making and community building all year round.
Vision
A city where all community members are enabled to make music and feel connected and supported in their engagement to each other through the arts.
